Bethel School District 403 seeks a skilled Communications Specialist to provide speech, language, hearing, and augmentative communication services for individuals and small groups in developmental and remedial settings.

Job Description:

This role involves providing consultation and related services for students needing accommodations in school settings. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and ESA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology, with a working knowledge of Washington State rules and regulations for disabled students (WAC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech, language, hearing, and augmentative communication services to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education and special education staff, parents, and administrators to develop effective strategies and accommodations.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and create Individual Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to students' unique requirements.
  • Promote inclusion and support students who use augmentative and adaptive communication strategies and devices.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • ESA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Working knowledge of Washington State rules and regulations for disabled students (WAC).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
