Role Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to generate precise Division 8 door, frame, and hardware schedule submittals and shop drawings for Kendell projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints established by estimating. The scheduling process will be completed with job costing entries and necessary submittal revisions, with an emphasis on maximizing cost-saving opportunities throughout.

  • Utilize Protech software, spreadsheets, plans, specifications, and estimating documents to produce submittals, shop drawings, and other project-related documentation.
  • Develop and prepare door and frame submittals and shop drawings in accordance with industry standards.
  • Formulate detailed hardware sets, employing appropriate headings, listing hardware items in the correct order, and identifying the intended functions of door openings while coordinating hardware templating requirements.
  • Assess door openings to determine suitable products for creating assemblies that comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Adhere to FSC policies, BAA, ADA, and Building Code guidelines throughout the scheduling process.
  • Organize and compile all job-related information for the project management folder.
  • Stay informed on industry codes, standards, products, and manufacturers by participating in in-house or manufacturer-sponsored training sessions or industry conferences.
  • Apply newly acquired knowledge and skills to job functions as appropriate.
  • Serve as a resource of industry and organizational knowledge for colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in product scheduling drafting or detailing.
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database software, and scheduling software, with preferred experience in Protech, Microsoft Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Solid mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic operations and interpret symmetrical drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines.
