Machinist Specialist

Masaba Inc is a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, and we are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team.

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to handle all tool room machining activities, including designing, drawing, setup, and machining of items needed for our production facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical understanding of how machinery works and how components interact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings or sketches of parts, setting up and creating parts for prints or sketches, and performing alternative work such as helping with machine repairs. Additionally, the Machinist will be required to operate a vertical mill and metal lathe, band saw, chop saw, drill press, and other equipment.

• Trades education program completed (2-4 years of trade school)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of machine shop experience in a manufacturing facility
• Strong mechanical understanding of how machinery works and how components interact
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Basic computer skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent attendance history
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand on hard surface for 10-12 hour shifts in hot or cold environment
