Job Title: Material Handler

MGS Mfg. Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring all material-related tasks are prepared and cleared for every sample.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and identify materials from various sources, working with tooling project managers to ensure accurate identification.
  • Receive sample requests and identify material quantity needs, alerting tooling project managers if more material is required.
  • Add material to IQMS inventory and allocate material for respective jobs.
  • Create material labels and find material data sheets for each material, uploading them to respective job folders.
  • Clean and load dryers and hoppers for each job, setting up proper drying settings and checking moisture levels.
  • Clear dryers, loaders, and hoses at the end of each sample, re-inventory, and store remaining material.
  • Keep the material area lean and organized, working with the warehouse to store material offsite that is not immediately needed.
  • Understand and execute best material handling practices to keep material free from contamination.
  • Understand hopper, loader, and dryer function and basic troubleshooting.
  • Mix material color manually as needed, working with manufacturing to utilize their mixer on larger quantities.
  • Drive a forklift to maneuver materials and supplies of varying sizes.
  • Assist with shop inventory and ordering as assigned, as well as shop cleaning and operator part handling.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with injection molding material handling is a plus.
  • Experience using inventory management software is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
