Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Services Technician at Indiana University Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our rehabilitation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s).
  • Maintain and clean treatment areas and equipment.
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities as required.
  • Participate in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
  • Order, distribute and maintain designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies.
  • May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties.
  • Rehabilitation Technicians can transport medications to/from the patient treatment room for patient treatment.

Requirements
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
  • Rehab experience preferred.
