Job Summary
This is a technical position that requires direct care and support for adults with mental health needs. You will work in a group home setting, providing assistance with daily living skills, medication management, and socialization. Your ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and colleagues will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to adults with severe and persistent mental illness
- Assist clients with daily living skills, including meal planning, preparation, and storage
- Ensure clients are maintaining proper personal hygiene and dress appropriately
- Supervise and ensure the safety of consumers in group home settings and community environments
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Understand and adhere to CBRF regulations and OSHA practices
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with adults with mental health needs preferred
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and move objects weighing at least 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors
