Warehouse/Material Operator 2nd Shift

Job Summary:
The Warehouse/Material Operator 2nd Shift is responsible for assisting in the warehouse operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This role involves receiving, maintaining, dispensing, and storing raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials in accordance with cGMP procedures to prevent cross-contamination and achieve manufacturing targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and storing raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials in designated areas
- Weighing, counting, and verifying materials as per purchase orders and receipt documents
- Dispensing materials required for manufacturing, stock transfer, and exports as per cGMP norms
- Ensuring cross-contamination of materials is prevented while handling by following all procedures strictly
- Maintaining online documentation and areas as per cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements to avoid any deviations
- Reviewing the status labeling of materials to ensure correct labeling is performed by quality
- Performing status labeling for equipment and accessories
- Monitoring logs and areas on a day-to-day basis to avoid any deviations during internal and external inspections
- Updating data entries in online documentation to avoid data integrity
- Disposing of scrap generated periodically in stores to remove blockages and ensure smooth store operations
- Ensuring segregation and removal of scrap material by coordinating with housekeeping
- Minimizing scrap-related hazards through risk management processes
- Maintaining safety in store operations by complying with safety norms to reduce incidents and accidents
- Monitoring store assistants to use proper safety appliances while handling materials during receipt and dispensing
- Identifying and reporting possible hazards and handling (storage, receipt, issuance) hazardous materials safely
- Preparing receipts and issuing materials on time by coordinating with purchase and user departments to ensure required materials are positioned in scheduled time
- Indenting materials as per correct quantities and delivery schedules from purchase departments
- Managing material receipts while adhering to relevant SOPs and storing goods as per required storage conditions
- Accounting for receipts of materials by making GRNs
- Issuing materials to user departments by following SOPs as per given schedules
- Reviewing stock of materials and storing goods in appropriate conditions to reduce material damage due to improper storage and for smooth production activities, and updating in the system
- Monitoring and recording environmental conditions of areas and equipment
- Carrying out reconciliation of reviewed physical stocks and updating the effect of reconciled stocks in the system
- Loading and offloading trucks using proper equipment
- Helping the QA department in sampling processes as needed
- Performing duties through the proper safe use of equipment, according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals
- Manufacturing for dispensing planning (weekly)
- Quality Control for release and sampling (daily)
- Quality Assurance for discrepancies and non-conformances (daily)
- Purchase for receipts (daily)
- Accounts for invoice submission (daily)
- Planning prioritizing production (daily)
- Customs for re-warehousing (daily)
- Safety for safety norms and approval of destruction material (daily)
- Housekeeping for sanitization (daily)
- Equipment Supplier for dispatch-related (need basis)
- Transporters for deliveries (need basis)
- Courier for tracking of materials monthly
- Maintaining 100% cGMP and SOP compliance during complete operation hours
- Complying with all company policies and procedures
- Completing documents in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Performing daily maintenance on equipment and machinery
- May be required to assist in the training of other employees in the department
- Remaining flexible to work extended hours to achieve department goals when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year experience in warehouse operations preferred
- Proficiency in the English language (speaking/reading/writing) to understand work instructions and document results
- Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and the operating principles of control systems
Physical Demands:
Exert an amount of force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force rarely by utilizing a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
