Job Title: Substitute Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substitute Nurse to join our team at Sussex Montessori Public Charter School.

About the Role:

The Substitute Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to students in case of injury or acute illness, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with national and local health laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
  • Keep record of students seen and how they were treated
  • Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse license recognized by the Delaware Board of Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher required from a regionally accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of supervised clinical nursing experience
  • Valid and Current CPR / AED Certification
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, educational equity, and multicultural education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior school nurse experience
  • Prior pediatric care experience
  • Knowledge of eSchool
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole
