Reporting directly to the Director of Emergency Services, the RN assumes accountability for a designated group of patients, ensuring their needs are met through a comprehensive nursing process.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor individualized care plans, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately.
- Assess and communicate patient conditions effectively to the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient care, including transfers and discharges.
- Evaluate patient and family educational needs, providing tailored instruction based on cultural and situational factors.
Act as a strong advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients, ensuring their rights to privacy and autonomy are upheld. The RN will also:
- Formulate and assess educational plans for patients and families, adapting to their unique learning requirements.
- Engage in continuous professional development through participation in educational opportunities and workshops.
Education: Must possess a current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments are essential.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required, with completion expected within 30 days of orientation.
