As a Safety Representative, you will collaborate closely with the Branch Manager, Team Members, Safety Team, and Executive Team to achieve all company safety objectives and standards. You will oversee safety performance across a diverse range of environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing expert technical guidance. This role involves conducting site assessments, engaging with clients, and serving as a safety advocate by modeling safe practices and addressing unsafe conditions among team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the execution of safety training initiatives.
- Stay informed on OSHA Construction and Factory Safety Regulations, including PRCS, LO/TO, 40 Hr. HAZWoper, PRCS Rescue, Fall Protection, and PPE.
- Conduct field safety audits of company projects and personnel at client locations to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Inspect safety equipment for functionality, integrity, and maintenance.
- Oversee training programs and recertification processes.
- Manage the medical surveillance program.
- Identify and develop solutions to ensure safe working conditions on project sites.
- Provide technical guidance on safety equipment and procedures to company personnel.
- Procure safety supplies and collaborate with vendors for efficient inventory management.
- Foster relationships with clients.
- Minimal travel required (approximately 5%).
- Flexibility in work hours may be necessary.
- Administer the near-miss reporting program.
- Investigate employee injuries and coordinate medical responses as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in health and safety compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage operations personnel in safety policy adherence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
- Valid Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour Training preferred.
