Position Overview:
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide personalized care to patients, helping them achieve their highest level of wellness. You will collaborate with a team, understanding the significance of shared goals. Your responsibilities will include performing specific clinical tasks and non-clinical support duties essential for patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, or enrollment in a healthcare career program, or current Mercy employee.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary.
- In Missouri, if you lack previous experience, Mercy will provide a mandatory 175-hour training program compliant with state regulations, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
- Preferred Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
