Nurse Care Specialist

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Care Specialist in the Med Surg M3 department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to providing high-quality care that is centered around the needs of each individual.

As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care that meets the unique needs of each patient. The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and advancements.
About the Role
This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week. The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med Surg M3 department
- Assessing patient needs and developing personalized care plans
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Communicating effectively with patients and families to provide education and support
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program and be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. BCLS certification is also required, and we encourage candidates with advanced certifications to apply.
Work Environment
This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and use of sight, hearing, and touch. You may be exposed to infectious diseases and will be working in an environment where physical, mental, and emotional illness, as well as end-of-life conditions and death, may be present. Moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care are also inherent in this role.
