This is a full-time position in the pharmacy department of the State of South Dakota. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in processing and dispensing prescriptions to clients/patients in an institutional setting.

• Provide assistance to pharmacists in processing and dispensing prescriptions
• Maintain the daily operations and workflow of the pharmacy
• Process insurance claims and work with insurance carriers to resolve claim rejections
• Maintain computerized and manual files of medication orders and prescriptions
• Ensure the pharmacy has adequate stock of medications and supplies
• Work closely with other medical staff to ensure medications are dispensed and administered correctly

• Experience as a pharmacy technician
• Strong attention to detail
• Good work ethic
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations
• Knowledge of generic drug equivalents
• Knowledge of insurance billing
