Job Title: Water Resources Staff Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Staff Engineer to join our team at Brown and Caldwell. As a key member of our Water Resources and Stormwater Group, you will be responsible for supporting the design and analysis of stormwater management facilities, stream stabilization, and restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design of stormwater management facilities, stream stabilization, and restoration projects
  • Conduct technical analyses, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, statistical analyses, GIS mapping, and data management
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, permitting support documents, technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Participate in field work to evaluate stormwater facilities, streams, streambank stability, and related infrastructure
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff on various water resources and stormwater-related projects
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field required; MS degree preferred
  • PE or EIT in Massachusetts, or ability to obtain Massachusetts licensing through reciprocity within 6 months, preferred
  • Minimum of one year of related professional experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to use GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, spreadsheets, word processing
  • Experience with modeling programs such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WinTR-55, SWMM, etc.
