Job Summary

The Manufacturing Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to the manufacturing team, including cost accounting, budgeting, and inventory management. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under various situations, including difficult time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and reliable cost accounting systems, including annual cost rolls, revaluations of standards, and reviews of incomplete costs.
  • Perform costing analysis using judgment in developing material and labor standards, analyzing standard margins and variances for assigned product lines monthly.
  • Review standard costs to ensure appropriate inventory valuation and control, initiating changes as required, and participating in inventory management.
  • Contribute to group cost reduction/value assurance projects and profit margin studies, often taking a leadership role on these cross-functional teams.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis and/or manufacturing accounting with background in production control, cost accounting, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Working knowledge of JDEdwards preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
