Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients assigned to the Adult Critical Care Department.
  • Participate in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation, and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • May work as a registered professional in the capacity of Charge RN, providing care for patients for an assigned time.
  • Maintain current competency with nursing skills required and demonstrate knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret the data appropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient's age.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Successful completion of basic critical care course or equivalent training for this hospital's critical care course.
  • Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.
  • One year of critical care experience preferred with successful completion of critical care training course.
  • Current BCLS.
  • ACLS within three months of hire/transfer.
  • CCRN preferred.
