Leasing Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Leasing Consultant to join our team at Bluestone Development. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for showcasing our luxury midtown and downtown apartment properties to prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody the company core values and adhere to all policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain regular and consistent on-time attendance.
  • General Leasing:
    • Adhere to the company leasing process and all guidelines.
    • Respond to prospect correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and text messages.
    • Schedule and host tours for interested prospects.
    • Enter prospect data and tour information in Entrata, accurately and consistently.
    • Manage and schedule daily/future follow-up.
    • Facilitate resident screening, including credit/background, rental verification, employment/income verification.
    • Approve/deny prospect applications based on Bluestone/Entrata qualifications.
    • Execute all required lease paperwork, including creation of lease documents, setting up lease dates, rentable items, and other lease charges.
    • Confirm apartments are ready for prospects prior to tours and tenants prior to pre-move-in.
    • Attend weekly sales meetings with the Regional Portfolio Leasing Manager.
    • Consistently achieve personal and property monthly leasing goals.
    • Troubleshoot Entrata workflow issues in the lead to lease process.
  • Resident Management:
    • Perform resident move-in duties and orientation per the established move-in packet.
    • Maintain positive resident relations by keeping a positive attitude and good working relationships with all customers.
  • Marketing/Resident Retention/Miscellaneous:
    • Set up 'mini-model' in applicable buildings.
    • Provide regular updates to the Regional Portfolio Leasing Manager, property manager, and residents, as needed.
    • Clean amenity areas each day.
    • Open and close leasing office at scheduled office hours, if applicable.
    • Perform outreach marketing as directed by the Regional Portfolio Leasing Manager.
  • Assist the Regional Portfolio Leasing Manager with other projects and cover other Team Members, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, real estate, or other related fields.
  • Familiarity with contracts and leases is helpful, but we can teach you.
  • Ability to build rapport with prospects and residents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and overall comfort working with computers.
  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record may be required for this position.
