Job Summary

Expert Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to our patients in a Skilled Nursing setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with therapeutic exercises, and educate patients and their families about their therapeutic routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
  • Monitor patients' progress and report changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and family members on home exercises and wellness strategies to promote optimal recovery.
  • Document patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that therapy equipment is clean, safe, and well-maintained to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid PTA license in the state of practice.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience in home health or outpatient settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve patient-centered care.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
