NICU Registered Nurse RN Job Description

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our NICU team in Garland, Texas.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse RN to provide high-quality patient care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit NICU. As a Registered Nurse RN in our NICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and valid nursing license in the state of Texas.
  • BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU or a related field.
  • Level 3 NICU experience required.
