We are seeking a skilled Marine Engineer to join our team at Port to Port Immigration Services Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of engines and power systems on our cargo vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engine Equipment and Maintenance: Ensure the optimal performance of engines and power systems.
  • Engine Room Watch: Maintain watch of the engine room in accordance with Transport Canada and international best practices.
  • System Operations and Climate Control: Operate and maintain refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance Monitoring: Monitor and execute tasks and system checks on all equipment and power systems.
  • Safety Management Implementation: Ensure adherence to safety management systems and marine navigation protocols.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Marine Engineer.
  • English or French language proficiency.
  • Organized, diligent, and responsible individual with problem-solving skills.
