Your Role in Transforming Lives

The Recovery Support Specialist I plays a crucial role in engaging and motivating individuals served, facilitating impactful discussions that empower them to identify, develop, and achieve their personal recovery objectives. These specialists provide valuable insights to the team, enhancing and reinforcing Telecare's Recovery Culture as outlined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS), ensuring that each individual's perspective and preferences are acknowledged, appreciated, and integrated into the services and self-help initiatives provided. Furthermore, Recovery Support Specialists are equipped to handle critical situations with advanced engagement and de-escalation techniques, promoting a supportive environment for individuals facing mental health or addiction emergencies.

Available Shifts:

Part-Time; Shift Hours and Days may vary as needed

The anticipated starting wage range is $ - $. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges, and the pay range for this role will be determined based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting compensation is commensurate with relevant experience exceeding the minimum qualifications.

Essential Qualifications (Must Have)


• High School Diploma or GED is required.


• Certification as a Peer Specialist and/or completion of Peer Support Training.


• A minimum of one (1) year or part-time equivalent experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges.


• Personal experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system.


• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.


• A valid and current driver's license, along with personal vehicle insurance listing you as a driver.


• Willingness to utilize your personal vehicle for transporting clients to appointments and group sessions.


• Willingness to use the company vehicle for transporting clients to appointments and group sessions.

Tree House North is a short-term crisis residential program that collaborates with the Orange County Health Care Authority (OCHCA) to assist individuals in Orange County experiencing acute mental health crises, providing essential support to stabilize their functioning without necessitating admission to inpatient or higher-level care facilities. The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team focused on stabilization and recovery.
