About the Role

This pharmacy technician role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate medication preparation and inventory management while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines and departmental policies. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, supporting the pharmacy team in achieving its objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately interprets and prepares medication orders using various systems, including automated dispensing cabinets and inventory management technology.
  • Demonstrates expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Responsible for managing inventory levels, performing expiration checks, and conducting floor stock inspections to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, responding promptly to phone inquiries and ensuring timely delivery of medications to designated areas.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation, contributing to quality assurance efforts and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants should possess:

  • A State Certified Pharmacy Tech certification from the SC Board of Pharmacy.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and patients.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
