Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with kidney disease, providing safe and effective dialysis therapy, and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
  • Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
  • Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
  • Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required).
  • Dependable, compassionate, caring, supportive, collaborative, and reliable qualities.
