We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Lifespan. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the safe administration of medications.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition, taking appropriate action to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or eligibility for licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Up to one year of combined previous related and on-the-job experience in a perioperative setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, position, and push patients on stretchers, as well as stand for extended periods.
This role will be based in the Operating Room at Lifespan, with frequent exposure to anesthetic gases. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner.
