Job Title: Hygiene Team Leader

As a key member of our team at Veetee Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day implementation of hygiene services, ensuring that cleaning regimes are well-documented and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the hygiene team to maintain exceptional standards of visual and microbiological hygiene across all site areas.
  • Identify and communicate any difficulties or concerns to the Hygiene Manager in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to hygiene, food safety, quality, health & safety procedures, and company terms at all times.
  • Report any Food Safety/Health & Safety concerns and ensure that PARs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Achieve a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas, following work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cleaning tasks as required.
  • Participate in daily GMP audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage break times effectively to ensure that staff are on the shop floor promptly and efficiently.
  • Complete documents and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that hygiene operatives follow cleaning instructions for machines and equipment.
  • Manage and develop hygiene staff on the shift, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages or issues.
  • Perform chemical titration checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as an effective deputy in the absence of the Hygiene Manager, taking on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Organize and control stock issue and generate replenishment orders in the absence of the Hygiene Manager.
  • Provide coverage for all factory and associated areas and team members when absent, ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to drive continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • Previous hygiene experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous team leader experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Understanding of HACCP principles, Health & Safety, COSHH, BRC, and hygiene practices.
  • Level 2 Food Safety certification.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to use software applications as required.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
