Position Summary: The IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in delivering technical support and assistance for various computer systems, hardware, and software applications. This position is tasked with addressing user inquiries, conducting diagnostic assessments, identifying issues, and implementing effective resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Assist users in person or via phone communication.
  • Create and maintain training documentation while conducting training sessions for users.
  • Oversee the daily performance and functionality of computer systems.
  • Respond to electronic inquiries from users seeking assistance.
  • Guide users through troubleshooting processes.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software as needed.
  • Conduct virus and spyware updates on systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Address technical challenges related to Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.

  • Collect feedback from users regarding their experiences with computer systems.
  • Generate reports to identify and analyze recurring technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN networking principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Solid technical background and comprehension.
  • Ability to learn quickly with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high efficiency.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication abilities.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A four-year degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is required.
  • Two to three years of related experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements: This role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, with occasional bending and squatting to work on equipment. Lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Continuous vision is necessary for detailed tasks, along with frequent hand, wrist, and finger movements for computer work.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, typically requiring 40 hours per week, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be necessary.
