POSITION SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is accountable for the effective loading and unloading of dishware and various kitchen implements. This role emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace while adhering to established protocols and instructions.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift heavy items.
  • Demonstrated speed and precision to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize cleaning agents appropriately.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishware and kitchen tools.
  • Transport dishes and kitchen equipment to and from the dishwasher.
  • Organize and stock clean dishes, pots, pans, glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils.
  • Empty kitchen waste bins and transport trash to disposal areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in workstations, dish areas, floors, walls, and drains.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company standards.

REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Capability to operate the dishwashing machine.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Skills to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and utensils.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Respond effectively to visual and auditory signals.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals such as bleach and oven cleaner.
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the kitchen and food service zones.
  • Tolerance for high-temperature environments exceeding 115 degrees near dishwashing equipment.
