The estimated salary for this role is $87,100 - $157,450 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. You will analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.

You will monitor network and telecommunications systems performance and respond to anomalies and issues according to defined procedures. Additionally, you will assist in deployment of VoIP, Video teleconference (VTC), and plain-old telephone systems (POTS).

You will interface and communicate with network operations centers of external providers as needed. A comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP, and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers and printers are required.

Excellent communication skills are necessary to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.

You will install and configure new network and telecommunications systems hardware and software. Creating and maintaining network telecommunications systems diagrams and configuration documentation is also a requirement.

A minimum of 10 years of experience as a network engineer in similar programs and a polygraph clearance are required for this role. The successful candidate must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications: Network+, CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Video or any equivalent certification approved by the company.
