Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Role

As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at Medix, you will play a vital role in the operating room, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and surgical equipment.
  • Providing support to the surgical team during procedures, including handing instruments and maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Cleaning and preparing surgical instruments for processing and transport.
  • Assisting with post-procedure cleaning and preparation of the operating room for subsequent patients.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
  • Current Surgical Technologist certification is required.
  • Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Experience with a variety of surgeries, including ENT, Gastro, Ortho, Plastic, and Dermatology.
  • Background in an ASC environment.

  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm, with flexibility to accommodate varying surgery schedules and unexpected delays.
