At Gift of Hope, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care RN to join our team. As a Critical Care RN, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, authorization, and medical management of deceased organ donors.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct evaluations of potential organ and tissue donors through review of hospital records to determine medical eligibility/suitability
- Document required clinical information in a clear and concise manner
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to facilitate the donation process
- Coordinate the clinical management of deceased organ donors
- Identify, document, and communicate required clinical information to associated Gift of Hope staff, transplant center staff, and administrators
- Associate's Degree in healthcare related field (i.e. RN, RT, or other) with a minimum of 1 year experience in a critical care setting
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with families of potential donors to present the option of organ and tissue donation
- Ability to achieve and maintain competency in clinical and technical skills required to facilitate organ and tissue donation and transplantation
- Competitive salary range of $40.00 per hour plus night shift differential
