Job Summary:

As a NPI Manufacturing Engineer at Axcelis Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient launch of new products. You will work closely with the design team to develop and implement manufacturing processes, estimate costs, and determine time standards. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods to ensure efficient production.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products and ensure manufacturing DFM/DFX's are complete.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and determine time standards for new or existing product lines.
  • Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Develop preliminary work instructions and assembly process flows for newly released assemblies.
  • Perform PFMEA for PCI and critical assemblies.
  • Develop Control Plans as required.
  • Review original drawings prior to release for functional comprehension in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering with 3-5 years of professional experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
