Job Summary

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for automated material handling equipment in warehouses and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide onsite technical support for automated material handling equipment, utilizing complex troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a range of technical tools.
  • PLC Programming: Program, troubleshoot, and repair the interface between Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Material Flow System (MFS).
  • Sensor and System Maintenance: Program, troubleshoot, and repair sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters, and encoders.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assist in identifying the root cause of faults and production errors.
  • Collaboration: Work with onsite staff and software developers to ensure maximum system uptime.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze system daily operation reports to track and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Test Scenario Design: Design test scenarios to identify system issues.
  • Training and Documentation: Train internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve issues, and prevent issues from recurring. Create documentation and training materials for system users and system service & maintenance.
  • Communication: Participate in customer and internal meetings.
  • International Teamwork: Work as part of an international team to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience with PLC,.net, or Siemens S7 PLC.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of controlled drive engineering, automation technology, bus systems, and experience with AUTOCAD or E-Plan is a plus.
  • Availability: **No Sponsorship available for external candidates**
