Job Summary

As a Truck Driver CDL A Local 3rd Shift, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. You will also mentor and train drivers, helpers, and yard drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip safety checks on the truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required
  • Perform post-trip safety checks on the vehicle and secure the tractor and trailer
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the cab, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean
Requirements
  • Class A CDL required
  • Commercial driving experience
  • Meet the medical requirements of the DOT
  • Monday-Friday schedule
