Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly and Test Technician to join our team at First Tek. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling and testing a variety of complex products to meet customer quality and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test products using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and mechanical/electronic tools.
  • Record test results on data forms using electrical equipment and flow measurement devices.
  • Identify malfunctions and rework as instructed.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and test specifications.
  • Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to product specifications.
  • Participate in lean initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members.
  • Ensure a safe and FOD-free work area.
Requirements
  • High School or Equivalent.
  • Two or more years of industry-related experience in assembly/test in a manufacturing environment.
  • Product and process knowledge.
  • Ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Soldering certification.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
