About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position in La Porte, TX. As an SLP with our partner school district, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or a related field, a state SLP license in Texas, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
