Job Title: CT Technologist

Join Luminis Health as a CT Technologist and play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. As a member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing CT imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to established professional and departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine radiographic procedures and special computerized tomography procedures, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance testing on CT units and emergency equipment, maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Obtain relevant clinical data, supervise patient preparation, and record significant information, prioritizing patients in workflow.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow through the scanner area, scheduling and assigning responsibilities effectively.
  • Monitor and report supply shortages, maintaining a clean and organized CT area.
  • Maintain a daily activities log and procedures manual, submitting monthly reports as required.
  • Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service activities, demonstrating CT equipment and procedures as needed.
  • Assist physicians in performing interventional CT procedures and emergency situations, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA-approved educational institution.
  • Current State of Maryland licensure.
  • Current certification in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
Working Conditions:

As a CT Technologist, you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment with a reasonable expectation of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. The physical demands of this role are classified as heavy, requiring exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
