Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Accura HealthCare of Marshalltown. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

• Prepare and cook meals according to authorized menus and individual care plans.
• Adhere to established schedules and procedures for food preparation and service.
• Label and identify meals, special diets, and nourishments with resident name, room number, or other identifier.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, preparation, and storage areas.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a perpetual inventory of food and supplies.
• Log and record temperatures of food storage and refrigeration equipment as requested.
• Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program and engage with residents, family members, and staff to ensure high-quality care and services.

• Prior experience working in long-term care cook position (highly preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalency (preferred).
• CPR Certification (preferred).
