Academic Palliative Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Palliative Medicine Faculty Physician to join our team at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with specialists, and contributing to the advancement of palliative medicine research and education.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the primary healthcare team to provide high-quality medical care services to patients with complex needs.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiology tests, and refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Analyze medical records, test results, and patient examinations to diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments to manage patient health issues.
- Provide patients with personalized advice on lifestyle and diet changes to improve their health.
- Collaborate with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure positive patient experiences.
- MD degree from an accredited medical school.
- Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current MD or DO license from the State of North Carolina.
- Board certification in primary care or related field.
- Certification in BCLS and ACLS, if required by specialty.
- Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
