Job Title: Operations Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team at Wilson Logistics. As an Operations Intern, you will play a key role in assisting our operations team in managing our fleet and ensuring the highest level of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of our driving associates, including coaching and mentoring to help them understand business needs.
  • Monitor service levels to ensure on-time delivery and analyze fleet data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactively communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary permits and information for specific state travel.
  • Work closely with the operations team to achieve operational goals and strategies.
  • Manage information accuracy of system data and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Working towards a degree in Logistics, Business, Management, or a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and build relationships with professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work properly, managing one's own time and the time of others.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include regular talking and hearing, frequent standing and walking, and occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 25 pounds.
