Position: Regional Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Infusion Clinic
As a valued member of the Elevance Health family, our Infusion Clinic is dedicated to delivering critical infusible and injectable therapies through various settings, including specialty pharmacies and infusion centers.
Base Location: Remote with extensive travel required
Service Areas: Multiple states including GA, TN, AL, FL, OH
Work Schedule: Standard hours from Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, primarily onsite.
The Regional Family Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in delivering patient care within the established scope of practice in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers prescribed therapies in accordance with established protocols and company policies.
- Facilitates the patient admission process as directed by management.
- Conducts thorough physical assessments for each patient, particularly for new consultations based on diagnosis.
- Collaborates with on-duty Nurse Practitioners for comprehensive assessments as necessary.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all relevant patient data in medical records.
- Communicates significant changes or observations to management and follows up on identified issues.
- Engages effectively with the IV team regarding patient status and observations.
- Ensures patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Evaluates and documents patient responses to therapies.
- Educates patients and their families about therapy plans.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
- Verifies that all medication orders are complete and accurate prior to treatment.
- Engages in on-call duties, which may include after-hours and weekend responsibilities.
- Provides clinical coverage for colleagues on leave and supports new market initiatives.
- May require significant travel to various work sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Experience with intravenous therapies is essential.
- Must possess an active and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Multi-state licensure is necessary for providing services across various states.
- Completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in infusion therapy is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within the designated service areas as needed.
- Ability to cover multiple locations across several states.
- Capability to perform duties in various centers regionally.
- Commitment to maintaining multi-state clinical licensure.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the designated regions.
