Position Overview:
The Registered Dietician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nutritional services to residents. This position involves overseeing food service operations and ensuring optimal nutrition for all individuals under care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the clinical nutrition system to provide the best nutritional support for residents.
2. Conduct interviews with new admissions to assess dietary needs.
3. Develop and review initial nutritional care plans on a quarterly basis.
4. Participate in resident care conferences to ensure comprehensive care.
5. Monitor the implementation of care plans to guarantee adherence to dietary guidelines.
6. Maintain a solid understanding of food service operations and budget management.
7. Oversee personnel actions, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations of food service staff.
8. Support the Food Service Director in various capacities as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to fulfill the mission of the Dietary department and to meet the overall needs of the facility.
In the event of an emergency declaration, the role may require assistance to the agency or state government.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Dietetics
- Certified Dietary Manager certification required
- Valid Driver's License required
