Job Summary

Bags, a leading provider of airport services, is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Baggage Handler to join our team. As a Baggage Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of luggage for our airline partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and tag baggage based on destination and departure time
  • Transfer checked luggage in and out of cargo vans/trucks
  • Assist with verifying that luggage is properly tagged and secured
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or facility manager

Requirements

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, early mornings, and weekends
  • Complete all required training, including airport compliance
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Pass a criminal background screening
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication

Appearance Guidelines

Employees are expected to present a professional business-like image at all times. This includes:

  • Being clean-shaven, with the exception of a fully-grown mustache, beard, or goatee
  • Facial hair must be neatly trimmed at one-fourth of an inch in length
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings are allowed
  • Clean and well-maintained approved uniforms must be worn on shift

Physical Demands

The Baggage Handler position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The employee must be able to move in a relatively quick manner and lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
