Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our custom product development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing sophisticated refrigeration products and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Apply standard and advanced technical principles, theories, and methodologies to design and develop refrigeration products and systems.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify product design requirements and cost optimization opportunities.
- Track and control product cost and warranty expenses.
- Develop mathematical calculations and formulas to analyze results and identify performance characteristics.
- Establish test criteria, participate in laboratory testing, and analyze test data to identify chiller performance characteristics.
- Collaborate with the design and drafting group to generate product layout concepts and system configurations.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory codes such as UL, ASME, and API.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Internet software.
- Experience with refrigeration and/or industrial refrigeration.
- SAP experience.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE and/or API specifications.
