Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Pinehurst Medical Clinic.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work in collaboration with a supervising physician to provide patient care, emphasizing health promotion, illness prevention, and stable acute illness management.
You will also be responsible for coordinating staffing and orientation of assigned team members, planning and conducting ongoing education and training, and maintaining infection control/safety standards.
Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional who is committed to providing patient-centered communication and care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care plan
- Provide acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, monitoring therapies, and administering medications
- Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems
- Make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner
- Respond to emergencies, including use of CPR
- Document patient information and care provided in patient records and maintain department statistics
- Develop health education programs and materials as needed
- Work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families as appropriate
To be considered for this role, you must have an active license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina as a Registered Nurse.
You must also have written approval by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or current North Carolina PA license, certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
BLS/CPR Certification is required.
Preferred qualifications include two or more years of work experience as a NP or PA.
Work ScheduleThis is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
The pay type is hourly (non-exempt).
