Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Inland Technologies International LTD. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of bulk fluids, including Type 1 non-hazardous waste. You will operate company-owned or leased vehicles, including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift, and mechanized equipment. Your duties will include documenting and recording log sheets, navigating local and major roadways, and troubleshooting and servicing equipment. If you have a clean driver's abstract, a minimum of two years' commercial driving experience, and a mechanical aptitude, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons, including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift, and mechanized equipment;
- Document, record, and track all required log sheets in accordance with FMCSA, DOT, and Inland Technologies International LTD. requirements;
- Identify, troubleshoot, and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles;
- Service truck with fuel, oil, and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer;
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Clean driver's abstract;
- Minimum two years' commercial driving experience;
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle maintenance;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports;
- Ability to sit for long periods while driving in possible inclement weather;
- Ability to use hands and arms to install, position, move, and manipulate items;
- Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and handle materials;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Work Environment:
- Position requires sitting and driving for long periods of time.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms;
- Able to speak and hear efficiently.
