The LaSalle Group is seeking a Patient Account Representative to efficiently manage patient registration processes in Fort Drum, NY. This role involves collecting and verifying patient information, processing admissions and discharges, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner
  • Accurately collect and enter patient information into the EHR system
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Process patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Ensure all required forms and documentation are completed and signed
  • Answer phone calls, provide information, and assistance as needed
  • Coordinate with medical staff and departments to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in healthcare administration preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or medical records
  • Proficient in using EHR systems and other computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
