George Mason University's Facilities Department is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Technician II to join our team. This role involves performing a series of skilled tasks in Hvac by assisting more senior-level trades workers and related duties as required or assigned.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated progressive experience (generally 4+ years) in the Hvac trade, knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the trade, and ability to analyze Hvac systems and controls to determine problems and initiate repairs as directed by supervisor.

This position requires a valid driver's license to drive GMU state vehicles, and EPA-approved universal refrigerant recovery type I, II, & III CFC licenses. The successful candidate will be expected to follow established university and departmental policies and procedures, follow established safety procedures, and report accidents and problems to supervisor promptly.
