Key Responsibilities- Assess and Address Spiritual Needs: Gather and evaluate information regarding patients' spiritual, religious, emotional, and relational needs and resources.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement plans of care to promote the spiritual comfort of patients.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and with other care providers to ensure coordination of services.
- Provide Spiritual Counseling and Support: Offer spiritual counseling and emotional support to patients and their families, adjusting to meet their changing needs.
- Perform Religious Rites and Ceremonies: Conduct weddings, funeral services, baptisms, and administer sacraments as requested.
- Develop and Provide Educational Programs: Assist in developing and providing educational and public relations programs for staff and clergy community.
- Document Spiritual Care: Document how spiritual needs and concerns are addressed, utilizing the plan of care to reflect goals, outcomes, and interventions.
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or Equivalent: A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent in Theology is required.
- Ordained or Commissioned Minister: Preferred candidates are ordained or commissioned ministers that are ecclesiastically endorsed by their recognized faith group or religious organization.
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE): Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) 4 units preferred; minimum 1 unit and enrolled for completion.
- Three Years of Active Pastoral Ministry or Chaplaincy Experience: Three years of current active pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience.
- Computer Skills: Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
