About the Role

The Instrument Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of Flowserve's products and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, manufacturing, assembling, calibrating, and testing our products to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Verify parts made in-house and by external suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Review and Verify supplier Material Test Reports against ASTM standards.
  • Operate and Maintain PMI and Spectrometer Analyzer equipment for metal analysis and verification.
  • Perform Liquid Penetrant Testing to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Assist Sales with customer inspectors on PMI and dimensions of valve parts.
  • Identify and Communicate non-conforming product issues to the responsible teams.
  • Collaborate with Customers and internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support Other Inspection Areas as needed.
  • Adhere to Safety Procedures and policies at all times.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
  • Ability to Interpret Assembly Drawings and Part Drawings required.
  • Basic Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
  • Ability to Use Measuring and Inspection Equipment required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Basic Computer Skills required.
  • 3-5+ Years of Machining and/or Inspection Experience preferred.
  • ANST NDT Level I (PT) Certification preferred.
  • Dexterity to Use Hand Tools and ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • Good Oral and Written Communication Skills required.
