Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in post-acute care facilities
  • Accountable for following and adhering to care plans for residents
  • Check vital signs and provide regular reports to the nursing team
  • Observe resident conditions and alert supervising staff to concerns or emergencies
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, and feeding
  • Perform tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents
  • Act as a liaison between residents and healthcare staff
  • Engage with residents and offer daily companionship and comfort
  • Communicate with family members and visitors, addressing their concerns
  • Move residents safely and comfortably to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and nursing care procedures
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Effective organizational and communication skills
  • Appropriate bedside manner
